Safe Patient Handling Education
The occupation of nursing has been identified as one at high risk for musculoskeletal injuries. While perfect technique alone cannot eliminate all of the risk associated with acts of aggression or unpredictable circumstances, using proper body mechanics can reduce the risk for cumulative injuries to the back and shoulder girdle.
Education may be provided on a topic by topic basis, or as a whole. Education topics include
